Vicario Micro-Distillery and Farm located a short distance from I-85 and Hwy 101 in Greer, SC is a small family-owned distillery, farm, and import company creating award winning liqueurs and gin, and importing various wine, spirits, and unfinished spirits. Many of the spirits contain estate grown herbs or fruits from the farm in Greer, as well as the family farm located in Cortona, Italy. Both farms adhere to organic principles.
The distillery in Greer processes liqueurs in the old traditional ways of maceration rather than distillation, using herbs, fruits and nuts primarily estate grown, although some are purchased.
VICARIO seeks a professionally minded person with a proactive work ethic, exceptional people skills and friendly welcoming personality. The ideal potential candidate will be someone eager to gain a deeper understanding of liqueurs production, attentive to details, excellent communication skills, and have a passion for hospitality and high level of service. Must be 21 or older and able to lift 30 lbs.
Duties would include:
2-3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) 9:30-5:30 assisting with production and processing of herbs, fruits, etc. into liqueurs and all the various production tasks, such as:
• Preparing farm grown products for liqueur making, i.e. washing, cutting, etc.
• Cleaning tanks and equipment
• Filtering
• Driving a forklift
• Assembling cartons
• Assisting with bottling processes
• Assisting with liqueur preparations
2 days per week-must be able to work Friday and Saturday, 10:00-6:00 assisting with tours and tastings in the tasting room with duties that may include:
• Organize the bar area, restock retail merchandise, prepare for guests, clean as needed.
• Conduct tours of the processing facility and farm with guests.
• Operating the sales of products in the tasting room.
Duties:
Complete side work
Cross-sell spirits and merchandise to customers, making recommendations as needed
Work proactively with a sense of urgency while possessing excellent communication skills and maintaining a clean workstation
Maintains and operates bottling and processing equipment properly, safely, and efficiently
Maintains a clean and orderly bottling and processing area, keeping it ‘tour ready’ 7 days a week
Maintains awareness and understanding of bottling operating conditions, inventory, ordering, and maintenance needs
Maintains understanding of TTB regulations and requirements for bottling and processing
Properly ships and receives new inventory and orders
Assists with and contributes to maintaining a safe and enjoyable workplace for all employees
Pay $15.00-$20.00 per hour depending skill levels
